The GROUPE IDEC has just been awarded a contract to build a highly technical project for ELIS CLEANROOM in Sweden. This project follows a previous joint project between the group and ELIS as a contamination control specialist. The signing of this contract confirms the GROUPE IDEC’s desire to work with its clients in France and abroad.
Another project in Sweden
ELIS CLEANROOM, a firm specialising in the hire and maintenance of contamination control solutions for clean rooms and controlled environments, has renewed its trust in the GROUPE IDEC awarding them the contract to design and build a turnkey project for its new facilities in Nyköping in Sweden, which will be used by BERENDSEN (a subsidiary of the ELIS Group). This latest project comes after the first successful joint project between the two companies involving the construction of a factory to treat clean and sterile laundry textiles near Paris.
Complete design and technical support and expertise
The GROUPE IDEC offered ELIS CLEANROOM a full support throughout the project from the absolute start. The French team in charge of the previous project offered its know-how and its experience to design this new project with the group’s international team. This team work allowed to the GROUPE IDEC to be awarded for the construction as a turnkey project.
A factory for clean rooms type ISO 5 et ISO 7 within a fully controlled environments
This project is designed to replace their current facilities, which is no longer suitable for the requirements of ELIS CLEANROOM and its subsidiary, BERENDSEN. Based 100 kms or so south of Stockholm, this new factory will meet the firm’s highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness that the most demanding clients expect today. This factory also aims to cope with an increase in the business of the firm specialising in the maintenance of ultra-clean clothing, while respecting the environment and energy efficiency targets that are expected from a 21st Century business.
Work to begin in January 2020
On a 7000 m² land, the 2500 m² factory will include a large washing area ranked ISO 5 and ISO 7. This high level of hygiene will allow the firm to meet the standards required by ELIS CLEANROOM’s clients in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. Work is due to start on this new project early next year. The project is due to be handed over in the first quarter of 2021.
